A New Tradition

On Tuesday, I wrote of my family’s time-honored Thanksgiving traditions. This year, however, I spent my first Thanksgiving away from my parents in order to celebrate with Seth’s family. While my mom’s pumpkin pudding and peach salad were absent, this holiday was fulfilling in every way, complete with a few new traditions. Observe:

1) We watched the Thanksgiving Day parade as per usual, but rather than supplementing our viewing experience with hot cider, we enjoyed some piping hot oatmeal.

2) Then came a brisk run around the local community college for which I rocked my leopard fleece gloves and a stylish black headband.

3) An early dinner was on the agenda, but I didn’t think I could make it a full 7 hours without food. Hence, an impromptu lunch.

4) Finally, the time for the main meal arrived.

5) Kung Fu Panda.

Good night.

  1. Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. Oh wow, I did a vegan soup made with carrots and parsnips today too! Our tables both had a dish full of conspicuous-looking orange slop. Lol. I kept telling my family, it looks scary but I promise it’s delish! And it def was.

I also did a photo journal of my day. Glad to know that I am not the only crazy girl with a camera and a blog that likes to document it all :)

  3. Happy Thanksgiving!
