A Polka Dot Occasion
Anyone who knows me will tell you that I have three prominent passions: nutrition, fitness,…and polka-dots. Fortunately, this Friday I will have the opportunity to demonstrate my infatuation with that last one, thanks to my sorority’s spring semi-formal.
Remember this little gem that I showed you a few months ago? Well, it appears that I now have the perfect occasion—a polka-dot occasion, if you will—to wear it on Friday. Plus, I happen to have a pretty hot date to match my rockin’ frock:)
My perpetual dilemma, however, is how to wear my hair. Suggestions, please!
Whoa, I think that was far too much girliness for a single blog post. Quick! Let’s get to the food!
Breakfast this morning involved my latest cereal obsession: Total’s Cranberry Crunch. To be honest, I probably wouldn’t have purchased this cereal had it not been available at the on-campus grocery store. However, convenience is a powerful thing, folks. It’s friggin fraggin delicious, with its dried cranberries and granola clusters, but the sugar content is a little ridic—16 grams per 1-1/4 cup serving! (Full nutrition deets here). Plus, there’s a small amount of high-fructose corn syrup in the granola clusters. C’mon Total, you’re supposed to be a healthful cereal. Nonetheless, I’ve been snacking on this sugary goodness all day.
For lunch, I whipped up a batch of Triple H—Hemp Herb Hummus, that is. PS Why are all my meals orange and green these days?
Dinner involved a bit more creativity; I made a black bean-mango-coconut wrap with Heat Is On PB. It might sound like a weird combination, but I promise it was supah-tasty. Caroline likey the spicy.
So that’s my culinary adventures for the day. Be back tomorrow, blogland.

Such a cute dress! With a neckline like that, I would definitely wear your hair up. Maybe a messy updo?

Ohh I’ve been wanting to try that pb but I never see it in stores.
That’s a cute dress! Hmm I’m thinking you should wear your hair up to show off the shoulder detail? Have fun at semis!
I like your hair down! Or in a nice bun..that would look cute with the polka dots.
I got that box of cereal 2 years ago (back when my cereal addiction was sky high) and finished the box in one night. Never got it again. Haha I should give it a chance now….
My mom bought that cereal recently because it’s one of her favorites, and it kills me to have it around haha! I had my fair taste; now it’s time to buckle down… x)
Enjoy your social!
Oh yeah, and I love the sound of that black bean wrap… WOW!
i LOVE polka dots! that hummus sounds really interesting..your eats are gorgeous as always!
Cute dress! Can’t wait to see pics of you and your hot date
I think you should wear our hard down with waves – or a low side ponytail. Is that look still in?? I’m never up to date with these things.
That wrap sounds A-Mazing. I love the black bean mango combo!
I make and sell aprons on etsy – I have a really cute polka dotted one that you would love!! (I apologize for promoting this here, I just really think you’d like it! KatieJoSews.etsy.com)

I say hair down. Because it’s easy and classic and you can move around and dance all night without worrying about it!
Such an interesting wrap combination! Love the dress, maybe wear your hair up someway to show off the one shoulder look?
Cute dress! I’d wear my hair in a pony tail with a faux hawk (the puff) but I’m sure how ever you wear it you’ll look good
I still have yet to try Heat Is On yet, I think it is the last of the PB & Co that I haven’t purchased yet
LOVE that dress! I think your hair would look amazing off to the side in a messy style bun. it is classy, and not too fancy yet sophisticated!
I love Total! I’ve never had the clusters one, but I swear there is something amazing in the flakes. Your dinner wrap sounds delish!
I’d wear your half up/down…glam and keeps it out your face for drinking/dancing/all that fun stuff. Like this: http://z.about.com/d/beauty/1/0/1/k/emilyblunt.JPG
Wear it up, so that it can show off your pretty shoulders!
Everytime you post about the blackbean and mango combo I remember that I keep meaning to try it! Hopefully I’ll remember to pick up a mango at the market soon!
That wrap is ridiculous! Looks so, so good.
Up, with some tiny loose braids? I’ve never been able to master this look, but I love how romantic it looks.
That dress is adorable!
