Belated Christmas

As I mentioned in my last post, last night was Christmas Part 2 in the Yoder household. Lea and Ryan have returned from the in-laws’ house in Atlanta (Hi, Sharon, if you’re reading!), so they came over to spend the evening with us and have a belated Christmas celebration. I think they both enjoyed their gifts from Santa:

Lea and Ry also gave me a few presents, both of which were running-related.

First, a little running literature to last me throughout the year…

And a RUNNING SKIRT! After months of seeing them on fellow bloggers’ posts and lusting after one for myself, I finally have one to call my own.

I couldn’t help myself…I had to try it on:

Here’s how I’ve been keeping myself fueled since the last time I checked in:

Sunday

I decided to make my all-time favorite recipe for last night’s festivities. That’s right. I busted out the Cashew Ginger Tofu.

I concluded the evening with a little peach-vanilla hemp action.

Monday

Another record for Caroline’s coldest run this morning: 32 with with a wind chill of 24. When I returned home I just wanted some food fast, hence this morning’s simple breakfast.

It’s HumMonday again! I prepared some of the Peanut Sesame variety this afternoon.

My parents and I had a Skype date with my grandmother, so we had an early dinner this evening. I opted to make simple veggie-bean soup with whole wheat orzo.

I hope you all are having a pleasant start to the week. Rainer and I wish you a good evening:)
