You’re probably thinking, “Back so soon?” Although I didn’t anticipate having enough time to post this evening, I’ve got some down-time before my Skype date tonight, so I thought I would share my birthday celebration with you all.
As I mentioned in my earlier post, the fam and I headed to Mellow Mushroom for dinner. Check out the trippy ambiance:
For my meal, I decided to do the “Build Your Own Salad” option. My combination included spinach, broccoli, pineapple, shrooms, and BBQ tofu. To be honest, this salad was a bit on the lame side: canned pineapple, very little broccoli, and the tofu was clearly not marinated or baked in the BBQ sauce. Mellow Mushroom’s legendary spring water crust made up for it though…
Then we returned home for present time! As my sister Katie noted, almost all of my gifts related to cooking, clothes, or exercise; “Caroline in a nutshell.”
Next up on the evening’s agenda was CAKE. Lea picked out a very fitting cake for my birthday, perhaps even topping last year’s cake.
I actually don’t really like cake itself very much, but frosting–that’s another story. I cleared my piece of every bit of frosting..and perhaps my Mom’s too:)

OH my goodness!!! SO MANY awesome prezzies!!! I saw a book all about pumpkin and was so so so close to buying it the other day. Then I realized it was just because I was hungry
Oh and we’ve been talking about getting a salad spinner for years now. Jealous! And now you’ve got Christmas coming up?! Love the frosting eaten piece of cake haha.
