Bring on the Rain (Part II)
Tonight I write to you from Ocean Isle, NC. I have enjoyed every minute of my vacation thus far, despite the wet weather. Rather than stay inside all day, I embraced the raindrops this morning for a 7 mile run. Just like flouncing through flakes, I find running through rain refreshingly liberating. The family and I even headed out to the shore for a few minutes in between rain showers; Seth and I seized the opportunity to fly kites and look for shells:)
(As a side note, this is part II of Bring on the Rain because I previously used this title back in September 2008).
Here’s a look at my vacation eats thus far:
I was in a PB & J kind of mood this morning…so that’s exactly what I had.
After my soggy run, I came back for a swim and a big lunch. This was my first experience with Tribe hummus, and I must say—total winner. Slightly thick with plenty of spice. Can’t wait to try other flavors!
Tonight was pasta night for the Yoders. I added half a can of chickpeas for extra protein. Yum, yum.
Alright, we’re heading to town now for a little evening entertainment. Ciao for now!
