Video: Caroline's Cookbook Shelf
One of the most frequent requests I receive from Broccoli Hut readers is for cookbook recommendations. As a self-proclaimed cookbook addict, I am more than happy to oblige. While I derive inspiration for my meals from countless sources, here are a few cookbooks that consistently yield tasty results. View the video below for my thoughts on Eat, Drink, Be Vegan, Totally Vegetarian, The Imus Ranch Cookbook, and Clean Eating Magazine.

Hello and welcome! I have created this blog for people who love food, especially healthful, vegetarian food.
I have just graduated from Duke University with degrees in English and psychology. I plan to pursue a master's degree in nutrition starting in Fall 2010. Ideally, I would like to combine my love of food and the written word someday as a health writer.

My favorite cookbook is Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World! I use it the most often, by far!
ED&BV, V’con, and La Dolce Vegan are some of my favorites!
Great cookbook selections, my fellow cookbook addict!! I too love ED&BV; but I’ve never even heard of Totally Vegetarian or The Imus Ranch Cookbook (**hides in embarrassment**).
Haha, loved your enthusiasm when you expressed your love for the French toast recipe in the Imus Ranch Cookbook
CLEAN EATING MAGAZINE = YOU KNOW I’M BEYOND OBSESSED WITH THAT PUBLICATION!!!
I love new cookbooks too, but I need to use the ones I have more so sadly I wont be buying any new ones for a while
You are so natural infront of the camera I would be a bumbling mess!
Fantastic post – LOVE it! I am a total cookbook addict too. I can’t pick a favorite because honestly it depends on what I am in the mood for.
Yay, I needed this post! I’ve been thinking of buying Eat, Drink, and Be Vegan. My favorite cookbook of all times is Betty Crocker Whole Grains since I’m a total grainiac
Thanks for the suggestions! I am always looking for new cookbooks!
This is such a great post!!! So detailed and organized and I loved the video!! I really liked that you added the difficulty-rating for each cookbook as well!!
Thanks so much for an awesome blog! I love reading Broccolihut!! (And love that I can listen/watch now too!!! )
Take care beautiful lady!!!
Love,
G.C.
What a great post! All of them sound fantastic but the one that seems most appealing to me is the Eat, Drink, and Be Vegan! What amazing recipes!
My all-time fav cookbook is actually a baking book by Dori Greenspan, from my kitchen to yours.
I like the Clean Eating cookbook and Hungry girl!
everything looks amazing. but the orange sesame tofu, the tofu sour cream, the pumpkin bulgur chili, and the tofu banana french toast look particularly delicious. obviously i kindaaaa like tofu…haha. thank you for the cookbook recommendations. i want to buy a few really good ones before going off to college (i’m sharing an apartment with a fellow vegan, and we’re going to be in the kitchen A LOT!) i’ve been wanting to get eat, drink, and be vegan for a while now so i think that’ll be my first buy. anyway, thanks again!

Great reviews! My favorite cookbook might be Veganomicon, but I also like the Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook for solid basic recipes, as well as the venerable Joy of Cooking.
