Eat, Drink, & Be Merry
This past weekend will surely be one to remember. I have spent the past three days in a state of bliss—dancing, food shopping, and eating, of course. I have much to show you this evening, so I will let the pictures do the talking…
Friday
As I mentioned last week, Friday evening was the night of my sorority’s spring semi-formal.
For dinner, Seth, Alanna, and I all headed to Butternut Squash (where I have dined twice before). Everyone quite enjoyed their meals, particularly me—there were no scraps of seitan to be found on my plate…
Afterward we headed to the Washington Duke Inn’s bar for a few drinks before the par-tay…
Then it was time to dance the night away:
Saturday
Despite my late night, I managed to make to the gym the next morning. True to form, I had a stellar run, following a night of wine and staying up late. Go figure.
Seth and I then made our long-awaited trip to Trader Joe’s. I stocked up on my favorites (including honey sesame cashews and almond butter). Afterward, I satisfied my grumbling tummy with a dose of tempeh bacon and hummus.
Dinner was a blogger meet-up with a few local Raleigh-Durham foodies. Love the ambiance and the food at Guglhupf—almost as nice as the company:)
Sunday
After sleeping in a bit today, I headed to Foster’s for brunch with Seth and a few friends. The brunch menu was a bit on the egg-tastic side, but I managed to find a dish perfect for me—Peanut Butter & Banana Bagel. Yes, please. You better believe I ate the whole thing, y’all.
For dinner this evening, I opted for a Broccoli Hut fave, scrambled tofu. Nothing out the ordinary here, but it never fails to hit the spot.
Now I am off to organize for the week. Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!
