Gonna Be an RD!

Hello bloggigans! I don’t normally post on Saturdays, but I just couldn’t wait until tomorrow evening to share my good news. Today in my mailbox, I found something I’ve been waiting on for several weeks:

Yep, I’ve been accepted to the Masters of Nutrition program at Meredith College! After so many years of waiting and planning (click to read about when I decided my career path back in March 2008), my dream of becoming a dietician is finally becoming a reality.

I have so much to celebrate this weekend—let the festivities begin! Enjoy your Saturday, and I’ll be back with a foodie update tomorrow:)

  23. YAY gurl….that’s SOOOO exciting. I’m mucho happy for you….even though we haven’t met. That’s ok, though, don’t matter to me. Were friends through the health “foodie blog world” and that’s ALL that matters :)

Becoming an RD is also something on my list to accomplish. Ever since learning more about nutrition and how vital it is to a key lifestyle, I really wanted to become a nutritionist….esp. helping girls with eating disorders who face nutritional problems…like what i’ve gone through. After that I plan to get my MD in adolescent med. or nurse practitioner degree (also h helping girls with ED…i know SO much about it). It’s a big goal, but i believe it’s reachable. College is my first jump.

  24. Congratulations! I look forward to reading your adventures in grad school!
