Guardian Angel

Screeeech! *Crash*

I turn around and see two cars collide violently. Traffic soon erupts into a maelstrom of honking horns and frustrated drivers.

As the above description suggests, I witnessed a car accident today while on my morning run. Such a scene is frightening enough in itself, but what made the danger even more real to me was the fact that I had been at the very corner at which the accident took place, not even ten seconds earlier. Although at the time I thought the pep in my step was an indication of improved fitness, in retrospect my increased pace today was likely the result of Divine Intervention. Indeed, someone was watching over me this morning at 8:15 AM; today my guardian angel was on duty.

When was the last time you felt like you had a guardian angel?

After recovering from my traumatic run, I managed to shovel down some food today.

I finally cracked open my stash of Vitatops this morning for a lovely muffin parfait. Pumpkin and raisin bran is one of my favorite combos, and the duo was just as good in muffin form.

No, that is not Pepto-Bismol in the dish below—it’s my beet hummus. Weird color, outstanding taste.

I was on duty at work again this evening, so I packed a bean salad for dinner. This Lite Herb Vinaigrette was tasty enough, but I added more dried basil and oregano for a little more herb action.

Alright, I am off to unwind. Good night!

I had a crash about two months ago, a car hit me while I was riding my back. That’s when I knew a guardian angel was watching over. My dad, my guardian angel

  5. So glad you’re alright, hon!

I’d have to say it was last year, when the ceiling of my bathroom collapsed. As comical as it was, I’d probably be dead right now if I’d been heeding nature’s call at the time.

  6. Scary about the accident! That parfait looks amazing. :)

  7. Wow! So glad you’re okay! My guardian angel is working overtime 24/7, heheh. When he takes a day off, I can always tell. Yikes.
