Ham and Cheese
Today, for Seth’s last day in Birmingham we did a little exploring around the ‘ham, including lunch at the Cheesecake Factory—now that’s my kind of “ham and cheese.” You can thank Seth for that winner of a food pun;)
Here are a few photos from today’s excursion to a famous city landmark, Vulcan Park.
Tell me about your city—what makes it unique?
With all that gallivanting about town, we needed some fuel:
I made us both smoothies for breakfast this morning: his with juice, berries, peaches, & hemp; mine with soymilk, berries, & vegan protein powder.
I committed the ultimate blogger gaffe and forgot my camera at lunchtime. Please pardon the icky camera phone pics you see below.
My lunch was pretty light, so I was ready for some serious tofu action come dinner-time. Cashew Ginger Tofu seemed the perfect remedy for my substantial appetite.
Off to watch the Bachelorette. Ciao!

As a lover of all things cheesy (especially puns), the ‘ham and cheese’ was a good one! Your cell takes good pictures! Believe it or not, I’ve never experienced the infamous Cheesecake Factory bread – crazy, right?!
Looks like ya’ll are having an amazing time
Love the ham joke, haha! That’s so cool you found that brick!! I’m currently in San Francisco – SO much unique stuff. It’s certainly the only place where you can see a man in a pink tutu next to a lady in a business suit on the bus! No shame!
Happy Tuesday!
Meg
That’s so cool you have a brick! What’s it for?
Um…you basically ordered one of my favorite meals. I love that salad from the Cheesecake Factory, and the bread there is my favorite. So good!
Your dinner looks pretty fabulous too! I need to figure out exactly how you cook your tofu so that I can emulate it when there’s no grill handy for me to grill it on.
my home city is definitely known for its sandy beaches and summertime tourists. a great vacation spot!
My city is unique because that is where the declaration of independence was signed! (Philly obviously) I looove the Cheesecake Factory and that salad ! Good healthy choice! I watched the Bchelorette last night too…I actually met Craig this weekend while at my sister’s bachelorette party!
My city is unique because…….well, i don’t know really ! I live very near Edinburgh, which is a lovely place and there’s so much to do!
i’ve been to a Cheesecake factory and had a fab time! your salad looks amazing.. i love apple in salads!
glad you are having a ball xx
HOW MUCH do you want to punch Ali in the face. i seriously want to sock her out. i think she isn’t interested in any of the guys!!!! blah to her. now the bachelor pad is gonna be a ridiculously awesme show haha
I live in your typical small southern town, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. :] I guess we’re special because we’re have our own amazing lake. Or at least half of it; the town on the other side claims the other half. Hahahah.
