I Love Apple
No, this is not yet another ode to Honeycrisps, my friends—the kind of apple of which I newly enamored is not edible. After a very pleasant customer service experience, I have newfound loyalty to Apple, the makers of the iPod.
So you remember Nadine the Nano? I welcomed her into my iPod family last Christmas, as Nestor was starting to crap out on me. Unfortunately, Nadine only lasted a few months before her play/pause button ceased to function. I’ve been relying on Nestor for workout tunes ever since.
However, Nadine’s short lifespan really irked me, so I finally visited the Apple website to look into how to get her working again. I submitted a simple service request form, took her to UPS to send her to the Apple HQ (free of charge, I might add), and waited for a response. Within a few days, I learned that Nadine was a hopeless cause, and Apple would be sending me a free replacement iPod via overnight shipping. Yikes! I never expected such a happy result.
And now, I present to you Nanette the Nano (named after one of my favorite clothing designers).
All of this is to say that Apple, you kind of rocked my world this week. Thank you.
What was the last pleasant customer service experience you had? Did it convince you to be loyal to that brand/company?
I want to get to work loading up Nanette with all my songs, so let’s get crackin’.
Banana Breakfast Pudding was on the menu for breakfast, this time with peanut butter instead of coconut butter.
For lunch, I packed a wrap with Dilled Egg Salad.
Once home for dinner, I realized I had a drawer full of veggies just begging to be roasted. Hence, ginormous pile of said veggies made up my dinner.
With that, I bid you good night!

My iPod has been weird lately, and now you’ve inspired me to try lobbying for some customer service. Thanks cutie!
I don’t get to comment on your blog very often, but I want to let you know I love it
and I read almost everyday.
Have a great weekend, girl!
Xo.
I have one exactly like your Nanette. My husband has their blue cousin. They’ve worked wonderfully. Actually my last good customer service was with Apple. My ITunes download didn’t complete. They fixed it without any trouble and tossed in an extra song. Glad they hooked you up!
I have an iPod and love it…but haven’t been as into other apple products. My husband really wants me to get an iphone…it might be time for me to give in! The din din cauliflower looks cooked to perfection
I also had an iPod that kicked the bucket only a few short months after I got it. Did the whole service request thing, sent it to them, and got a new one in return much like you did. It was excellent service. Sadly, I am iPodless again, as mine was stolen, but that’s a whole other story.
