I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here
Several months ago, I lamented the loss of my second home; my foodie soul died a little bit at the thought of leaving my beloved Durham Whole Foods.
However, today I ventured to the local Whole Foods near my new home here in Raleigh. Upon entering the grocery wonderland, I was taken aback by the impressive size and pleasurable ambiance of this new (to me) Whole Foods location. Indeed, it was all I could do to keep myself from entering full-flounce mode and singing this song:
After browsing the aisles at length, I emerged from the store with a few new goodies…
…as well as a few B-Hut staples:
What are some of your recent foodie finds?
I’m anxious to get the weekend started, so let’s get on to the grub, shall we?
Strawberries and coconut make for one delicious combination, especially when banana-laden oat bran is involved, too. Too bad I then proceeded to spill coconut butter all over my heart rate monitor. You win some, you lose some, folks.
Upon returning from errands, I made myself a grilled tofu-hummus sandwich. Any sandwich involving my two favorite foods has to be good.
I rounded out the day with a bowl of Peanut Butter Chili for dinner.
Happy weekend, all!
