Is It Wednesday Yet?

Tomorrow, February 8 will be nothing short of an epic day—and I don’t mean that in a good way. My agenda for the next 24 hours will include (but is not limited to):

  • Experimental Foods Exam. Much of this past weekend was spent memorizing the utility of gamma rays in food preparation and staring at the chemical formulation of polysaccharides. Yeah, I’m so ready to empty this “highly useful” knowledge from my brain.
  • My first organic chemistry lab. I loathe laboratory exercises in general (unless it involves cooking, of course!). Tomorrow’s lab is at least mildly nutrition-related—we’ll be analyzing the pigments found in spinach juice. Woo.
  • Seminar Presentation. This one is the kicker. My entire grade for my seminar class depends on this 30-minute presentation. I have the entire class period to fill with my insight on “Dietary Energy Density and Diet Variety as Predictors of Anorexia Nervosa.”

Needless to say, my anxiety level is pretty high right now—I need some relaxation techniques, pronto!

So tell me, how do you calm yourself when you’re anxious?

In light of some last-minute review that needs to be done, let’s get onto the grub!

I think it’s safe to say that I am officially on a savory oats kick. This rendition was inspired by Mediterranean flavors.

For lunch, I packed some Peanut Sesame Hummus.

Once home from class, I pulled a Boxed Soup Chef trick for dinner.

Alright, off the obsess. G’night lovelies.

  9. What I like to do is put things in perspective. If I have a big test or something that is very important I think of how it is actually quite insignificant in the grand scheme of things. If I don’t get that A it is okay. Life will go on. It helps me relax and just do my best. Good Luck! BTW, love your blog!
