Last One, I Promise

So are you all sick of me yet? I’ve been a blogging fiend today–I don’t think I have ever posted three posts in a single day.  Anyway, this is the last post, I promise, and this one actually has FOOD. Check it out:

Monday

I love Spirutein so much that I should really invest in a big tub of it…but I just love the variety I get by buying several packets of different flavors. Otherwise, I get bored! How about you? Do you tire of the same flavor of something as quickly as I do?

I must admit, I am looking forward to ending my alphabet oats challenge…it’s been fun trying new foods, but it’s gotten a bit constricting. I yearn for oatmeal freedom once more! Sorry, I tend to wax poetic about my oats.

I’ll admit,  it might sound odd to eat canned rice and beans. However, here are a few reasons why I love them: 1) They’re made by Eden Foods, I brand I have grown to trust for its organic, healthful, and relatively low-sodium foods (even in canned goods!). 2) They go on sale with some regularity at my local Publix. 3) Most importantly, I am far too lazy to wait for brown rice to cook. FYI, I featured the variety with lentils last summer.

That genius Heather posted a recipe for Broc Guac a few months ago, and I excitedly prepared a batch back then. After all, it features a certain fabulous vegetable:) I made another batch tonight, and it was just as delicious this time around. This wrap is also my BSI submission–love that corn!

  1. that veggie wrap looks awesome! i’ve made pea guac, but never broc guac; may have to try that …and mango sprinkled with either wheat germ or flax seed is seriously one of my favorite things :)

  2. I totally invested in the double choc fudge tub!! The packets are like 2 dollars at the store and the tub was like 15 so the recessionista in me had to spring for the tub :D

  3. love that oatbran T mix… it looks so creamy!! :)
that Moroccan chickpeas seems delicious too … oh… that veggie wrap…. everything look scrumptious! :)

  4. Clearly, I don’t tire of the same flavors easily! When I like something – I LOVE IT! That veggie wrap looks fantastic! The offer still stands if you ever want to come cook for me ;)

  5. I love the tropical fruit spirutein! I just tried it last week and I just did it by itself with milk and it tasted like a pina colada! :)

  6. I’d totally be up for rice and beans in a can too. So convenient and looks tasty!

  7. Wow, I think I just drooled all over my computer ~ Great pictures and eats!

  8. I’m making a roasted veggies & hummus wrap ASAP, that sounds so good!!

  9. I have never seen that particular Eden canned good! Sounds really tasty. I agree that I tend to avoid canned stuff if only for the sodium factor, but when you can find good stuff that doesn’t have a lot of extra junk in it, I’m all for having things like that on hand to keep me from turning to take-out. Wrap looks awesome!

  10. [...] out in the fridge, so I decided to make a simple ratatouille dish for dinner. I also had some of Tuesday’s Moroccan Chickpeas & Rice, but you know me–I can’t stand the same thing [...]
