Make a Wish
Today, true to the Thanksgiving leftover tradition, my dad decided to put the turkey carcass to good use (is this inappropriate for a vegetarian food blog?) by making a big batch of turkey stock. After the juices had been sufficiently rendered, my dad and I pulled on the wishbone, each in hope of getting the better half. Here’s how it turned out:
I made a wish, but I ain’t tellin’ what it was;)
I’ve had a pretty non-eventful Friday—just a little movie watching and finishing up my 20-page paper (!). Here’s how I kept myself fueled along the way:
It was far too cold for a run outside today, so I had an indoor exercise day. Despite the cold weather, my body was still craving a smoothie for breakfast. Oh wait, my body is always craving smoothies.
Thanksgiving in a bowl!
My recent culinary laziness came to an end this evening, apparently—I whipped up a batch of pumpkin bulghur chili. So hearty and delicious.
Alright, my mom and I have decided that an evening viewing of Elf is in order tonight. Happy weekend to all!

Hello and welcome! I have created this blog for people who love food, especially healthful, vegetarian food.
I currently attend college in North Carolina, where I am studying English and psychology, although I plan on pursuing an additional degree in nutrition after I graduate. Ideally, I would like to combine my love of food and the written word someday as a health writer.

I wouold say congrats on the wishbone but somehow I feel like the 20 page paper was a bigger accomplishment and relief
I love your Thanksgiving in a bowl, it looks delicious! That smoothie is gorgeous too.
I wish I had a wish-making opportunity
