My Mega-Mug
Recently, I received a lovely personalized gift from an artistic friend of mine:
It’s a mega-mug…featuring ME! You’ll notice that each side features a different passion of mine (i.e., running and, most pertinent to this blog FOOD). Normally, I would use an oversized mug as an oatmeal receptacle, but this one is even too big for that—it’s more like a bucket than a dish. Any suggestions as to what I should use it for are welcome:)
What would be on your mega-mug?
I was a busy little booger today, but I did manage to squeeze in some breaks for my beloved food…
Remember these chocolate-covered sunflower seeds? I discovered them lurking in the back of my cabinet this morning and decided that they would be the perfect addition to this morning’s pumpkin-banana oat bran.
Lunch was a rather colorful affair featuring a few of my favorite things: chickpeas, broccoli, and peanut butter. I made a simple dressing out of PB&Co.’s Heat Is On peanut butter + ginger + vinegar + agave. Damn tasty, y’all.
I looked to my trusty friend Nasoya for dinner tonight—I’ve had a hankerin’ for stir-fry all day. Craving satisfied.
Not too much longer ‘til the weekend…have a good Friday, everyone!

Hello and welcome! I have created this blog for people who love food, especially healthful, vegetarian food.
I have just graduated from Duke University with degrees in English and psychology. I plan to pursue a master's degree in nutrition starting in Fall 2010. Ideally, I would like to combine my love of food and the written word someday as a health writer.

00o love the mug! It’s so cute.
I’d probably have food and writing on mine.
How those choc covered sunflower seeds lurk in your pantry is beyond me! I can finish those in one sitting. Noooooo joke. They are my FAVE. I bought them at TJs before I liked TJs
I would go into the store just to get those babies.

these mugs are sooooooooo cute!!! I’ll definitely have one with me cooking or taking pictures!
Aww…LOVE the mug! Personalized things like that always make me smile.
I can’t wait to see what you decide to fill it with!
HAHAH I love the side of the mug when you as a foodie. God that is amazing.
I also love you … because you always make something great with PB&Co Heat is On, which I’ve had forever (almost gone!) and need new ideas for.
Salad dressing? Yes please!
P.S. Your dad sends you articles about orthorexia? Now that’s interesting! I hope it doesn’t bother you too much :/
I love the mug! You can use it as a pencil holder, or a flower vase! Or just drink ALOT of coffee.
That mug is the PERFECT size for coffee – that’s how addicted I am
That mug is hilarious! I want one!
I love those TJs sunflower seeds…they’re delicious and I love the colors. They sort of remind me of some 1970s wallpaper or tapestry or something.
Cool mug! I love mugs, have tons of them!
I have some big ones too and I use them for smoothies (I can use the hand blender and make my smoothie right inside the mug!), oats, and also for soups. I love eating things out of mugs, and bowls!
Great eats!
Ana
I love pineapple in salads!
Cute mug. Mine would probably have me reading, cooking, and running!
That is seriously the cutest mug ever – LOVE it!
Oh my goodness – that mug is so cute. It doesn’t look super large in the photo but maybe you could use it to hold pens or flowers.
