Never Gets Old
In my 23 years on this planet, I have ascertained that there are a few things that never get old.
Oat bran
As you may have noticed by now, I enjoy eating oat bran for breakfast…a lot. Ever since the inception of this blog back in 2008, I’ve been eating the stuff at least twice per week. Seriously, I should own stock in Bob’s Red Mill by now.
How I Met Your Mother
It seems like this show is on all the time—back-to-back episodes on multiple channels every week night has made it so that I can recite dialogue in unison with Marshall and Lily. You would think that I would be tired of it by now…yet I type to you tonight as I watch another episode.
My nightly tea ritual
When I was in high school my wise older sister Lea introduced me to the wonders of hot tea. Ever since, I’ve had a cup every night as part of my evening relaxation ritual. Sure, I change up the variety on a weekly basis (I’m currently sipping green tea with pomegranate), but I always look forward the familiarity of my after-dinner tea routine.![]()
Margot photography
I brought Margot home almost four months ago, but I still take great delight in photographing her every move. Unlike her mommy, she is quite photogenic. I’m completely unbiased, of course
What things never get old for you?
Speaking of oat bran, I made batch # 1249234.
After work and class, I came home and made a Goddess Garbanzo wrap with some tasty accompaniments.
Tonight’s meal was an Ellie recipe, Sea Bass with Tomato, Olives, & Capers.
Fish cooked in white wine is so delicious! I think that’s reason enough to always have some in the house, even if I don’t drink it all that often. The red pepper flakes in the recipe added some nice spice to the dish too. I would totally make this again.
Alright, I am off to prepare for my first Food Service Management lab session tomorrow…Good night!

I just started watching How I Met Your Mother (my boyfriend loves it) and I was happily surprised by how funny it is! Right now I can’t get enough creamy buckwheat and strawberries – not together.
Your fish looks tasty, but I cannot STAND red pepper flakes! I hate the feeling of its-stuck-in-my-throat I get! I’m not a hot spicy person
Hot tea everynight is a great ritual! I pracitise it every night
I go through tea drinking spurts – when I remember all the delicious teas I have, I drink lots. But then I’ll stop wanting hot beverages, and forget about them for awhile.
And I will say – peanut butter and chocolate never get old.
Oatbran never gets old for me either. My husband and I both eat it at least 4 times a week. Also roasted veggies and sweet potatoes always taste good.
morning Joe never gets old for me,
your dinner looks delicious.
I love that last picture of your pup. She’s such a cutie (and yes, totally photogenic…haha!!) Look at that face.
I’m obsessed with oat bran lately as well. I go through phases between that and oatmeal, but oat bran has been my breakfast of choice these past couple of days.
I never tire of the Margot pics. Thanks for that. (0:
I am tagging you in post! peanut butter never gets old AND cute dog pictures.
I am also obsessed with How I Met Your Mother.
And Margot is so adorable!
I loooove oat bran! Honestly, I think its 10x better than regular oats. But i do love them both
And Margot is absolutely adorable! I just want to reach through the screen and scoop her up. No one can resist puppies!
