Return to the Pumpkin Patch
This weekend started off a little iffy—Seth came home with a mysterious illness on Friday night and slept pretty much all day on Saturday. Once he was feeling more like his normal self, however, he had one simple request: a return trip to the pumpkin patch.
As you may recall, Seth and I had pretty rockin’ time at Ganyard Hill Farm last fall, so we decided to follow tradition and visit again this year.
Have you gotten your pumpkins yet this year? Have you ever visited a pumpkin patch?
Onto the eats!
Saturday
After a delightful run yesterday morning, I dug through the freezer for some Ezekiel cinnamon-raisin bread. Definitely worth the dig.
For lunch, I used up the leftover meatless meatloaf muffins and transformed them into a ketchup-laden wrap.
I got bored as the afternoon wore on, so I decided to bust out the doughnut pans (finally) and made a batch of semi-healthful ones to cheer up Seth. How should I decorate these?
I didn’t feel much like cooking last night, so I hit up Panera and got the usual.
Sunday
I was in a savory kind of mood this morning, so I made a Greek-ish egg scramble.
Lunch was a simple Waldorf Salad.
When I was a kid, my mom used to make pasta salad all the time as a simple, refreshing evening meal. I channeled her culinary prowess this evening and made my own vegetarian version for Seth and me. Lots of random vegetables + pesto vinaigrette = good eats.
Alright, I am off to beef up my Netflix queue—a girl’s gotta have priorities. Good night!

Love the pumpkins! I have yet to get to the patch
Loved the pumpkin farm pics. Seth’s rendition of vampire Caroline was excellent! Your doughnuts look delish. I think they need maybe a lemon glaze with some orange and black sprinkles.
Oh donuts, hrmm I usually just like them with sugar on the outside. Or since you like frosting so much, maybe you can coat them with orange (pumpkin) frosting? haha.

I based it off of this one, except I used raw sugar and added a little almond milk.

You’ll love it! Rumor has it that the cinnamon raisin English muffins are just as good.
