Spring Break, Day 6: A Day Off
This evening I write to you rejuvenated and refreshed. Today Seth and I decided to take a day off from park-hopping to just chill and enjoy our time off—sans notecards and scheduled events. Instead, we did things we both love: slept in, went for a run in the sun…and ate of course. Here’s how our day of relaxation went down:
We started the day out like all the rest—with a big batch of banana oats. I promise to have more interesting breakfasts to show you upon my return to Durham!
Afterward, we set out on a 5 mile run in the Florida sun and then returned to the hotel for a dip in the pool.
By the time we were all cleaned up, we both had some majorly grumbly tummies. We made our way down the street to a local Italian eatery for a late lunch.
In an effort to save some money and continue our relaxation mode, we opted to dine in tonight, using some of our groceries purchased earlier in the week. I made a big salad, served in the finest of dishware—that’s right, I used the ice bucket as a bowl for my dinner.
Stay tuned for our a re-cap of tomorrow—it’s our last day in O-town. Good night, all.

I wish you could play in O-town forever–I’ve loved your adventures. Seriously, I love taking advantage of e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g when I vacation, leaving nothing out and you and Seth have done just that.
Can you believe tomorrow is THURSDAY!?!? AHHHCK
Glad you’re still enjoying your spring break
I’ve loved all of your Disney recaps!
You look stunning in all of your photos and I wish I could rock a bikini the way you do!
Just out of interest, how tall are you? You seem almost the same height as Seth and as a 5ft 3in midget I’m rather jealous of your long legs…hopefully that doesn’t sound too creepy!

days off during vacation are KEY — sometimes we plan those in on purpose, other times they just happen! i totally understand the need from a break from restaurants, as well — i always say that i get ‘restauranted out’ even 2-3 days into any trip where we eat out a lot. then again, you eat a lot cleaner at restaurants than i tend to!
loved virtually traveling with you + seth
That you used an ice bowl for your salad is awesome! Brilliant.
Very clever using the icebucket, Miss!
mmmm i love big salads full of yummy things!
and i agree with sarah (the shu box) there is such a thing as getting “restauranted out”…you just want to make your own food after a couple days – although it is nice to have someone cook for you!
Oh Giordano’s… how I love thee. And how sorry I am that I have neglected that love as of late! mmmm….
