Spring Break, Day 7: Downtown Disney

Greetings from gloomy Florida! This, our last day in Orlando was spent flouncing about Downtown Disney. Unfortunately, our flouncing was accompanied by continuous, drizzling rain. Aside from some soggy feet and frizzy hair, the day was certainly not ruined. Check out the finale of our spring break adventures…

I am sure you will all be happy to know that we used up the last of the oatmeal this morning, which means the breakfast monotony has come to close after this post. We changed it up a bit today, using sunflower seeds instead of the usual PB/almonds.

Then it was off to Downtown Disney for the afternoon:

Soon after arriving, we I worked up an appetite for lunch. We dined at the Wolfgang Puck Cafe, where I ordered the Mediterranean Vegetable Sandwich, sans cheese. I also added a fruit cup to round out the meal. Seth wanted to try his hand at food photography, so you can see his eats below too.

The afternoon was occupied by a movie, Alice in Wonderland to be precise. Afterward, we traipsed through the rain to Epcot for a quick dinner before calling it a night. I decided to sample this cafeteria’s hummus—perfect consistency (thick, slightly chunky) and tasty (hints of lemon and herbs), but the absence of tahini prevented it from getting a perfect 10. Yes, I am a little obsessive about my hummus.

Tomorrow morning we head back to Durham—and reality. It’s been a—dare I say it?—“magical” week. Thanks for reading:)
