Super-taco-bowl
To be honest, I never really paid much attention to the Superbowl until three years ago. Back in 2010, watching the Superbowl (or more precisely, watching the Superbowl commercials) was an assignment for my “Psychology of Consumers” class. When I told my then-boyfriend Seth about the assignment, he insisted that we make an event out of it, complete with wings, chips ‘n dip, and all the fixins’.
Ever since, Seth and I have made sure to continue the tradition. I still don’t care about football at all, but I do enjoy watching the clever ads in between plays
Seth took control of most of the meal preparation this year by whipping up some wicked-good pineapple salsa, creamy-dreamy guacamole, and homemade corn chips.
Margot was very interested in the festivities. As you’ll soon see, she was a bit of a “Where’s Waldo” throughout these pictures.

Here’s what my Super-taco-bowl looked like:
We used my spiffy tortilla bowl pans that I raved about last September.
Do you have any Superbowl traditions? What kinds of foods did you serve for the big game this year?

Your sister, Lea, made a delish dip with corn and sour cream and cream cheese (low fat for both, of course) and Ro-tel. It was quite tasty and I switched to Downton Abbey at 8:00–the loss of the lights was a gift!
The bowl looks adorable and delicious! This year was my third time watching the Super Bowl, but we haven’t made any culinary traditions yet. This time, I made seitan hot wings and buffalo cauliflower with a vegan ranch dressing. It was actually really good and easy!
