The Simplest Goodbye
It is no secret that I am a bit of a homebody: I savor my time at home with my family, I often count down the days until breaks from school…and I often have a hard time saying goodbye. Departing from Birmingham this most recent time, however, was not nearly as much of a challenge/sob-fest. My lack of emotion at bidding farewell is likely due to the fact that I will be returning soon enough for Christmas break. My date tonight also might have had something to do with it:)
Anyway, I have much to do before my evening with Treadmill Buddy begins, so I must be brief today:
Sunday
Double-berry shakes always put me in a good mood.
Monday
Ever since Post sent me a box of raisin bran for National Raisin Bran day, I have been craving it like crazy. Hence, yesterday’s breakfast.
Before heading to the airport, I prepared a sweet salad and hummus with crackers. My dad dubbed this salad “festive.”
I packed a dinner for the plane.
No smoothie last night because, ahem, a certain someone was keeping me company after he picked me up from the airport.
Tuesday
Pumpkin-tastic Cream of Wheat!
Since I didn’t get to honor humMonday yesterday, I am celebrating a day late. (See recipe on the hummus page).
Alright, off to unpack (finally!) and pick out my outfit for this evening. Toodles!

I get emotional too about leaving home, since I only get to be there 2 weeks out of the year. I cried on Friday because I was feeling so homesick, but thankfully I came home to a happy hubby and that kicked me out off my mood. 17 days until I’m HOME!!
Will I see you Saturday for the blogger meetup?
