Happy Fathers’ Day, everyone! Today’s feature post discusses fruit and nut bars, products that are always present in my ever-growing bar stash. Watch below for my honest evaluation of Larabars, PURE bars, Dr. Weil bars, and Clif Nectar bars.

  1. The “missing” PURE bar = Cranberry-Orange. Definitely try that one! Highest in protein :-)

**PURE bars are my favorite, for sure.

Nope, you covered all the Dr. Weil bars – I’m not a big fan of them either. Fig Newton-tasting bars are good, but it’s nice to have a flavor variety, haha.

And Happy Father’s Day to your dad!!

  2. My favorite bars are Larabars and nectar bars coming in at a close second. Mmmm. Think I’ll have one right now actually!

  3. Thanks for the video review, Caroline :) . I happen to love Pure Bars as well (although the coconut cream Lara Bars and Cashew Cookie ones are super yummy too!). I love the chocolate flavor and the cranberry orange Pure Bars. Hope you have a fantastic Father’s Day!

  4. Awesome video!

My favorite bars are Purebars. I haven’t been eating them as much since I’m really sensitive to sugar and they all have high sugar counts.

  5. I’ve never tried pure bars or Dr. Weil bars, and I’ve only had 3 or 4 flavors of larabars before and 2 of the clif nectar. They were all good though :) I think my favorite bars are kashi bars… mostly because they’re cheap (relatively, anyway)!!

I love your video posts. :]

  6. I actually don’t really like bars so much. Larabars just tasted weird to me, but I have yet to try the Dr. Weil bars, though I’m not sure I would want to much, considering it can get quite expensive.
    Btw, you’re really GORGEOUS! :D

  7. You are such a cunning linguist. I was watching and was enthralled by how well spoken and articulate in your video post. Odd, possibly. However, it’s what stuck out in my mind. That, and Cashew Cookie Larabars. nomnomnom

  8. Definitely Larabars. It’s a toss up between the Apple Pie and Cherry Pie. Actually, I think the Cherry Pie wins. :-)

  9. I like Larabars and GoodonYa bars!

  10. I used to eat larabars quite a bit, but I’ve never tried any of those others. I like to make my own pseudo-laras sometimes. Its been a while though! Loved the vid!!

  11. Caroline,

Cute, cute video girlie! And very helpful and informative. But you didn’t tell us your desert island bar! One bar for the rest of your days-what would it be?

BTW-You pronunciate so well on camera! ;P

    With Love,

    emily

  12. i have yet to try the Clif nectar bars, but to be honest- I stopped eating a lot of bars!! I’m saving moneeeeeeeey!

i also hated from of the dr. weil bars! banana was yummy tho!

  13. Hmm…well, since I’ve only tried Larabars it’s not too hard to choose from that selection: Peanut Butter Cookie with Cashew Cookie coming a close second. However, my ultimate favourite bars actually originate from the UK (woohoo, we have ONE decent product!). They are called ‘Nakd’ and ‘Trek’ bars and have had a little publicity on blogs recently. I LOVE the Cocoa Loco Nakd Bar and the Peanut Butter Trek Bar because they’re about the same calories as Larabars but they’re far bigger and more satiating (they’re 68g in weight and also come in a 30g mini version…of which I eat two): Larabars seriously barely last me an hour on their own where as Nakd/Trek bars will hold me a good 2-2.5 hours and in my opinion are much tastier ~ none of the ‘greasy fingers’ you get with Larabars!

You look so beautiful in that video…I’m so jealous of your figure and wonderfully clear skin! Okay I’m off to hide in a closet like gollum now as I feel like such a troll by comparison!

    Loved the post

  14. yeah a video post! love your vids! the only bar i have tried is the pure bar.. which i LOVED.. i think it was apple cinnamon that i had. i am always weary to try larabars because of the high stats but i know the fats are from the healthy nuts, i need to get over it already. thanks for the fun post!

  15. The Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar is like crack, with the Coconut Cream Pie a close second. I actually really like the Goji Moji one of the Dr Weil bars. Alas, I haven’t tried the others, since they don’t sell them in Canada.
