Yays and Nays
Tonight, I draw inspiration from my bloggie friend Julie. Yes, tonight will be devoted to a series of Yays and Nays.
Saturday
Yay: Ezekiel Cinnamon Raisin bread with cottage cheese is heaven on a plate.
Nay: It costs $5.69 per loaf.
Yay: I went to a picnic event yesterday afternoon with Seth.
Nay: It was a pig-pickin’.
Yay: Instead of BBQ, I had a big drum of veggies from Green Tango.
Nay: I was still hungry.
Yay: I finally got my hands on some peanut butter to fill my tum-tum.
Nay: I wish I’d had some of Seth’s macaroni and cheese.
Sunday
Yay: I had fresh egg whites in the fridge for breakfast.
Nay: I’ve lost my omelet making skills.
Yay: Seth and I found a park to play in.
Nay: We never found the museum we were looking for.
Yay: I found a fetching vintage hat at Father & Sons mid-century antiques.
Nay: I’m not cool enough to pull it off.
Yay: Some Subway sandwich makers have an eye for food presentation.
Nay: Too bad it was swimming in sweet onion sauce.
Yay: I love Health Valley vegetarian chili.
Nay: It’s not as good as The Refectory’s.
I’ve got some catching up to do. Be back soon, lovelies.

Love this post! Haha So fun! Maybe I’ll try a yay-nay post too some time!
yayyyy for yays and nays! i’ve been so mia in the commenting but i’ve been reading!!
how excited are you for fall and pumpkin!!! i hope it gets back on the shelf asap
No pig for you?
I love Julie – she has the cutest posts!! Ow…the pig looks VERY scary. The chili looks pretty tasty though and the park looks like fun. Hope you have a good weeek
You and Seth are so cute! And it looks like you have a lot of fun together! Except for that poor pig
Where do you buy your bread? My WF sells it for $3.69 or so, and sometimes there are even sales! I used cinn raisin for a grilled vegan cheese tonight!
Also, I did a pantry cleanout a few days ago and discovered I’ve been hoarding canned pumpkin like a crazy person so I finally tried pumpkin yogurt (plus maple syrup for extra yum) this morning for a lovely parfait with granola and figs, it was better than pumpkin pie! Thanks for the idea!
i love yay nay format posts! and that pig made me sad
the recipes you posted earlier look great~ gotta try that potato goodness! have a great week
Yay for a super CUTE post Caroline! You and Seth make such an adorable couple. Who needs museums when you’ve got a bff by your side? ;P
Have a good day at school tomorrow,
Emily
GAH! The pig makes me so sad, and I know it’s not even yours.
I am going to try to veganize the pumpkin yogurt at some point…maybe with silken tofu and lemon juice? Wish me luck!
I’m NOT likin’ the looks of that roasted pig– Quite s shocker there
You and your BF are SOOOO cute, by the way!
I love the idea of this post, yay for nice presentation of food and adventures in the park and naaayyy for pig pulling or whatever that was , not very appetising,fi
xx
Over 5.60 for ezekiel??! Where do you buy it!? I get it 3.99 from TJ’s! Love this post though, and I haven’t had cottage cheese on cinnamon ezekiel in a long time I should change that !
that pig pic reminds me many chinese festivals… they like to have a pig like this to celebrate. gross for me.
Seth and you are such a fun couple!
Cute post and super cute photo of you and Seth. That pig looks very…sunburned, haha.
I love shopping for vintage clothes items. I think the hat looks cute on you!
Such a fun post!
I’ve never tried the Ezekial raisin bread, but I know I would love it. Raisin bread is so delish.
Salads hardly ever keep my full, either. lately they’ve been doing an ok job..but I think it’s the lack of carbs! I wouldnt have been able to pick at that pig, either. I’ve had pit pig once in hawaii and it was delicious..but it’s not in my diet anymore lol Plus, it’s hard to eat something that still has a face!
Looks like you had quite the weekend! The picnic sounds fun, as does exploring and goofing off with Seth
